My eyeballs are constantly watering from the headwind, hardly deflected by my eyeglasses, and my watering eyes plays havoc with my vision and makes snowboarding and biking in the winter especially dangerous.I considered goggles with prescription lenses, but those cost an arm, a leg, and one's firstborn. So I was fortunate to stumble across this set of Smith Cariboo OTG ski goggles that will fit over my existing prescription eyeglasses. It is the perfect solution to my problem. I received the goggles I ordered from Amazon, and clipped it to my Pro-Tec snowboarding helmet. Works perfectly-- Now in 20F temperatures I can snowboard or ride bike without my eyes tearing up, and the mesh venting in the goggles do a decent job of preventing the goggles from fogging up most of the time. It did not fog up even in wet conditions at Heavenly. The strap is a little short when going around my helmet, so the goggles are a little tighter than I would prefer. The RC36 lens is a little lighter than my previous amber lenses.However, like my old goggles, I know that the thin foam around the outside of the goggles will deteriorate and start leaving little bits of foam in my eyes in about 3-4 seasons. |
